My Name Is Tom

"Runner-Up" - Flip International Animation Festival 2009

A short animation about my brother, Tom Austin, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. The film uses audio collected from interviews with Tom over a period of several weeks, punctuated with highly stylised motion graphics and 3D animation.

The film was placed runner-up at the Flip International Animation Festival's Student category in November 2009, and is also featured on the University of Derby website as an example of the animation course they offer.

Below are select drawings, illustrations, sketches and digital artwork.
My subjects range from anime-style sketches to 5 minute life drawings.*
